Create Shipment: Upload a CSV File

One of the three available shipment creation methods is upload a csv file. This article will walk you through this shipment creation method step by step.

Step 1) Select the upload method

Step 2) Choose between Individual Products or Case-Packed Products

Individual Products- This method is for items that are packaged individually

Case-Packed Products- This method is for items packaged in a case pack. A casepack must contain a single sku.

Step 3) Choose between Merchant or Amazon label

Merchant- If an item requires labelling the merchant will label the item. Items that require labelling and items that do not require labelling can be in the shipment.

Amazon- Pay Amazon a per item fee to label your items. Only items that require labelling can be on the shipment.

Step 4) Upload Bulk File

A Template can be downloaded directly from Seller Chain. A CSV template is recommended because excel can be used to fill out the template.

The template contains 4 columns and only 2 are required

Asin- Amazon identifier for the listing, often starting with a B0 and ten characters long.

Sku (Required) - The merchant sku or how you named the sku.

Qty (Required) - The total quantity

Qty_per_case - How many of the sku come in a single casepack

Upload the template back to Seller Chain

Step 5) Pick a Ship-From Address

Ship-From-Address - A ship from address in you saved addresses

Use System Saved Address - Seller Chain offers ship from addresses that you can select.

Step 6) Select Fulfillment Centre - Choose the FC location from the list below that you would like to send this shipment to.

There are two tabs on this page

Pile Stack Items - On this tab you can view the items in the shipment as well as adjust the items quantity. You can also remove the item from the shipment.

All Plans tab - This tab will contain all the shipment plans you can choose from.

To generate plans press "Search for new FC"

What is Magic?

Magic is Seller Chains in house program that will consolidate your shipment. Pressing Search for new fc will automatically use magic. If a plan appears that is not magic you can press "Magic this FC" and Seller Chain will try to get you a full shipment to that location.

Select the shipments you want to create.

You can select 1 or 8 shipment to create, our goal is to provide with a selection of great, consolidated plans.

Press Next: Create shipments

Step 8) Confirm Your Shipments

To create the shipments you will need 2D barcodes enabled
